today is our 3 year anniversary. you have filled my life with excitement, joy, laughter, and above all things, love. you are the best man i know. you understand me and do what you can to make me happy. i can be a complete wreck, and i know you won't go running for the hills. you love me for me (sometimes with no makeup on and my hair a mess and a little moody) and i love you. i love every little goofy thing you say and your "innocent-don't-be-mad-at-me face." we've been through a lot, but i believe it has made our love stronger. i just want to say thank you for doing the little things and thank you for listening to my sometimes long stories. thank you for understanding that i will always be sensitive and thank you for the foot rubs. but most of all, thank you for your love. happy anniversary, i love you with all of my heart.

perfection

m stayed home from work today, so we stayed in bed and watched midnight in paris with bailey curled up next to us. the way the light was barely streaming through the blinds, the soft snore of bailey, m and i wrapped up in a million blankets; this is perfection. i want to live like this forever.

10 things that make me smile:

1. my best friend is coming to town (for a day) next week!
2. more than one person saying that i look like zooey deschanel with my fake glasses on (even if i don't particularly see it)
3. going to dinner for my grandma's 78th birthday and eating waaaaay too much
4. hilarious "zombees" pin- i died when i saw it!
5. opening late christmas presents mid january
6. making delicious tilapia with brown rice and broccoli
7. after feeling sick all day, (not the part that makes me smile) m gave me a full back massage
8. having date night at california pizza kitchen and laughing throughout the whole dinner
9. my clothes are fitting looser and when i jump on the scale, i don't shriek in horror. BOOM!
10. blasting high school musical 3 and singing and dancing in the shower

a la paris

when i think of paris, i envision the eiffel tower, city lights, and to-die-for fashion. i hope to someday visit soon and roam the streets looking as chic as the girls i see in pictures. here are a few parisian street styles that i made my own:

i love the simplicity of a white blouse. it makes an outfit look so put together, with no effort at all. i decided to mix it up a bit and add a touch of warmth with this camel blazer.

this look is edgy, but still chic and wearable. a moto jacket and leather boots are instant edgy staples, which can easily be incorporated into any outfit. i coupled them with this metallic tunic and tights.

i adore this girl's mustard lace top. i used to think i couldn't wear mustard, but i have found that i love this bold color. i paired it with a chambray button down and an asymmetrical skirt.

favorites part 2

here is part 2 of my favorite beauty products!

1. Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm Tube- this is my favorite chapstick ever. it smells of peppermint and leaves your lips tingling.

2. Schwarzkopf Osis+ Air Pomade- i use this stuff on my damp hair and scrunch it to give that beachy look. it never feels greasy or stiff, which i love.

3. Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray- i use this spray in addition to the air pomade. i use just a little to add a bit of texture and body.

4. Big Sexy Hair Volumizing Dry Shampoo- this dry shampoo works wonders. i use it when i don't have enough time to wash my hair. i spray it lightly because it comes out white, but when i run a brush through, it disappears, as well as the greasy look.

5. Juicy Couture Viva la Juicy- i love this perfume, with its sweet scent and underlying notes of amber.

here are a few of my favorite beauty products! keep an eye out for part 2.

1. Garnier Moisture Rescue Refresh Gel Cream- i love this moisturizer. it goes on so light and isn't greasy at all.

2. Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller- this stuff does wonders for my dark circles under my eyes.

3. Sephora Collection Retractable Waterproof Lip Liner in Nude & Rose- i use these lip pencils when i just want to wear something light. i'll outline my lips and then fill them in. they even come with a lip brush on the other end, which is pretty convenient. i love both the nude and rose color.

4. L'Oreal Paris Infallible Le Rouge in Ravishing Red- this is my favorite red lipstick yet! it stays all day and still looks fresh.

5. MAC Eye Kohl in Teddy- i prefer this brown eye liner over black because it looks less harsh. it has a bit of sparkle, which i love.

6. MAC Eye Kohl in Fascinating- this white eyeliner gives me that bright-eyed-look. i just use a bit on the inside corners on my eyes and on the middle of my eyelids.

7. MAC Powder Blush in Margin- this blush has a hint of frost, but still remains natural looking.

8. GloMinerals GloEye shadow in Kona- so i know this is an eye shadow, but i use it to fill in my eyebrows. it gives them a clean, full look.

9. Maybelline Volum' Express Falsies in Very Black Waterproof- this is the best mascara! i have very short, straight eyelashes, but with two coats they become full and long.

7. making this gold link bracelet intertwined with embroidery string, with colors that remind       me of the little mermaid
8. rediscovering my oxfords and wearing them for days straight

10. going to disneyland/california adventure with my best friend
