10 things that make me smile:


1. celebrating my best friend's birthday with donuts (with candles), starbucks, brave, and mani/pedis
2. painting my nails for the first time in forever! too bad it only lasted 3 days before i had to take it off for work
3. my hair is redder! :) eee!
4. that fact that we know six, count them, six line dances now
5. the "babe cave," love it
6. constantly laughing, even if it means looking like a hyena every once in a while
7. taking a day (shopping) trip to santa monica
8. having TWO sleepovers in one week...on work nights. yeah, that's right, party animals over here
9.  my pretty new dress, with a little bit of tulle
10. drinking pina coladas out of wine glasses. so classy

3. all the ridiculousness that happens while line dancing

5. having a sleep over (on a work night!) with a princess coloring book, harry potter, and waaay too much chocolate. hi, we're 5
6. a little mermaid coloring page
7. laying out by the pool every week has pretty much made life so much better
8. moulin rouge. so good! i've been listening to the soundtrack in my car for over a week now
9. going to fresh n' easy for just "a little snack" and leaving with a whole bunch of junk
10. having dinner and sitting in a car for two hours just talking with my best friend from washington d.c.

there is a lot i want to accomplish in my life. some big and some small. but no matter the size of the goal, or desire, i must figure out the little details. these little details will (hopefully) lead me in the right direction to fulfill such dreams. i want to pursue my passion as a writer, but what steps, big and/or small, do i need to take in order to do so? and how to i mix in my love of fashion and photography? these are the little details in my life that i need to figure out, probably sooner than later.

melrose trading post

my friend and i finally made it to the melrose trading post together, after trying to for months! it was  gorgeous out (maybe a tad too hot for my liking), and ended up being such a successful and fun trip. i bought a decent amount, including some new items from vidakush, like this amazing heart gypsy headband! what made the trip even more amazing is that i got stopped by some reps from beauty riot. they took my picture and asked about my outfit and my favorite purchase from the flea market (which is  my infinity bracelet from vidakush -- i wear it like everyday). it should be posted in about 2 weeks, so hopefully i'll be able to find it once it's up on the website! i cannot wait! eee!

i was right...

wednesday came way too fast, just like i anticipated! but at least i had a successful "weekend." i spent time with friends and my boy, hung out by the pool, saw 3 movies (snow white and the huntsman, prometheus, and men in black 3), and spent way too much money shopping (victoria's secret semi annual sale! can you blame me!?). i love being occupied with fun plans, but now i'm wishing i had spent a day in, just reading and watching tv. i'll have to make sure i do that next week, otherwise i'm going to wear myself out.

fleeting weekend

my "weekend" has just started, and is already speeding by. i spent the day with my girls, and before i knew it, the day was already over!  but i guess thats what happens when you're with good company. the next few days i plan on laying out by the pool and going shopping. oh and sleeping in. i'm sure wednesday (when i have to go back into work) will be here sooner than i'd like.
