adam recently started classes and switched to the night shift at work. this means i don't get to see him as often as i used to. although it's crappy to go to bed alone, we get to spend the mornings together on my days off. we have even made sunday our ritual breakfast/brunch day. it'll be nice when we finally get to spend some more quality time together.

gardens of the world

today felt a lot like a warm summer day, which is a bit strange for the beginning of january. because the weather was so gorgeous, i ventured out to the gardens of the world in thousand oaks. i'm glad i finally made it out there because there is truly nothing better than being surrounded by flowers, green arches, and trickling fountains.

i almost spent new year's eve on the couch in my robe, but my boyfriend convinced me to go out and celebrate instead. i rarely go out like that. in fact, that was my first time going out for nye. and i'm glad i did. so as a result, i have decided that in 2013 i will be more spontaneous and fun. that i will get up off this comfy couch (literally and metaphorically speaking) and just live.
